Space Jam, is, in all honesty, a film that could have only ever been made in the mid-90s. Like, it's actually really difficult to put into words. In a way, it feels as if it's the entire first half of the ninetes got distilled into a single film.
Back when Lola made her debut in Space Jam, her outfit consisted of a crop top and short shorts. A lot of male characters were simping for her because of her physical attributes such as well-defined breasts, midriff, and curves.
Well, the New Year is almost upon us, and we can only hope next year will be very productive.
For now though, I'm just going to post my favorite remixes of the Space Jam theme song. Not for any special reason, but just because boredom sets in easy around here.
I watched it last night and it left me with conflicting feelings after reading the critical reviews that are mostly negative. Here's a list of the parts that I like and don't like.
Redeeming Qualities
1. Visually appealing CGI
2. No one called Lola Bunny "doll" and she was treated as an equal
3. Lit and awesome soundtrack
4. Don Cheadle's antagonistic role
5. A lesson about being your true self and pursuing something that brings you joy
It has been reported that Pepe Le Pew will not make an appearance in Space Jam: A New Legacy. I've been critical about his characterization and antics for several years, so for this to come to fruition is music to my ears. A symbolization of sexual harassment and rape culture like him is no longer fit in today's climate.
Additionally, Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam no longer carry guns in response to gun violence in the US.
Rating Scale:
12/10—a complete masterpiece; flawless and outstanding
11/10—Excellent, near-perfect film
10/10—the standard rating; awesome film with a couple of flaws
9/10—a wonderful film with several flaws
8/10–a great film with numerous flaws but not enough to ruin it
Hey guys, I got a new commission made from yoshiyoshi700! So a month ago, while I was Space Jam: A New Legacy on HBO Max again (God, I think I watch it like 6 times with no regrets ), I remembered, when Yoshi had drew Sally Acorn wearing the OG Space Jam gear (Click here to see it), so I thought it would be great to see

I've said before that I'm not into Looney Tunes anymore, but I might give this a watch for nostalgic purposes.
